Public Speaking-time:
D. Cllr Greenhalgh gave a report: MDC is in pre general election purdah though general work continues.
The Standards Committee has been looking at the effects of the Localism Act with regard to the Dispensation Procedure - how to proceed through meetings whereby councillors could discuss but not vote and Declarations of Interests.
Somerset Association of Local Councils will be performing an Audit of proceedings at parish council meetings

Finance: Accounts and Annual Return Annual Governance Statement 2016-17 duly approved and signed by Chairman and Clerk as per Minutes, Annual Parish Meeting 27.04.17.
Insurance 2017.
Proposed by J. Tucker, seconded by L. Aldridge and passed the parish council opt for a three-year plan.

Planning Decisions, Mendip District Council:
1. Approval of detail of condition 4 (joinery) of planning consent 2016/1925/REM in respect of Plots 2 - 5/YewCottage/Newtown Lane.
2. Proposed 2-storey extension and repositioning of conservatory/Burfitt Cottage/Stickleball Lane. Approved.
Highways Matters:
Complaint of dangerously-parked Motor Home outside Bread Cottage/Newtown Lane.
Chairman confirmed the matter has been reported.
Complaints to be reported to Somerset County Council Highways:
Request for Yellow Warning Signs in Newtown Lane appertaining to the School (26.5.16) to be repainted not yet implemented.
Very poor state of Roads in Bradley Way and Newtown Lane.
